Step-by-Step Guide
- Find a stream with the "Drops Enabled" tag. You can browse games with active drops on our homepage or on the Twitch Drops page.
- Watch the stream for the required time (varies per drop — usually 30 minutes to 4 hours). Make sure the stream is not muted in the browser tab, and that you're logged into Twitch.
- When the progress bar completes, claim your drop. You can claim it in the stream chat popup, or visit twitch.tv/drops/inventory.
- If the campaign requires it, link your game account to your Twitch account. Check the campaign details for the link, or go to twitch.tv/settings/connections.
Account Linking
Many drops campaigns require you to link your game account to Twitch before you can receive rewards. This is a one-time setup per game.
Go to Twitch Settings → Connections and look for the game publisher in the "Other Connections" section. Click "Connect" and follow the prompts to link your account.
On each game's detail page here, you'll see a "Link Account" button if the campaign provides a direct link.

Why isn't my progress tracking?
Make sure: (1) the stream has the "Drops Enabled" tag, (2) you're logged into Twitch, (3) the tab isn't muted by the browser (volume can be low, but not tab-muted), (4) ad blockers aren't interfering. Try refreshing the page.
How long do I have to claim a drop?
You typically have about 24 hours to claim a completed drop before it expires. Don't wait — claim it as soon as you see the notification.
Can I earn drops on mobile?
Yes! The Twitch mobile app supports drops. Watch the stream and claim your drops just like on desktop.
Do I need to watch the same streamer the whole time?
No. Progress carries over between any streams in the same campaign that have drops enabled. You can switch streamers and your watch time still counts.
I claimed my drop but didn't get the reward in-game.
Make sure your game account is linked to Twitch (check Connections). Some rewards take a few minutes to appear in-game. If it's been more than an hour, try restarting the game.
Can I watch multiple drop campaigns at once?
You can only make progress on one drop at a time per campaign. But if different games have active campaigns, you can earn drops for one game while a timer runs out before switching to another.
